The Benefits of a Bilingual Brain

Learning several languages, even adding one as an adult, makes for a healthier brain by delaying degenerative diseases and by strengthening the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex. Children have the easiest time learning languages because they actively use both hemispheres of the brain in the process while adults use the left, analytical and logical hemisphere.
